My overall bias is with Jeff, although we will have almost the same electrical system you have. However, I'm right with you on the autopilot vs. GPS. I'll have my good ole Garmin 195 and dual GPS's on the various busses of the A/C. Off goes the CNX 80, on goes the Garmin with its battery and believe the TRU TRAK is what we think it will be: rock solid. Then we further manage the equiupment failure(s), squawk 77 on the transponder, if required and head for a suitable airdrome.
