Turns out that the spinner back plate broke around three of the four bolt holes. Total engine/prop time is approximately 500 hours. This prop/spinner combination was originally from another Lancair and it turns out that the spinner back plate did not have the re-enforcement plates. ZR is back flying again, now with a beefed-up spinner back plate (Thanks Vern!). I've added checking the bolt area of the spinner back plate to my preflight list.
