I must agree (for the most part) with Steve & Fred about the use of
'pressurized' acetone.
We use almost as much acetone as MC when manuf Lexan and I would never
recommend 'spraying' acetone from a pressurized vessel. A Static spark
is another source that could ruin your day. I believe (if memory serves
me well) that the sp.gr. of acetone is around 0.7 and MC is over 1.0 so
that would indicate acetone rises and MC would fall to the floor but
caution is still in order.
I would only guess that the reason Home Depot etc sell MC mixed with
other chemicals is it circumvents EPA/OSHA restrictions.....
I liked Steve's clear and simple way of testing for the best solvent to
use.
