A few days ago I posted a comment about the shocks which included US
customs cost. I looked up the cost on the US Customs Service web site.
Under all types of shock absorbers, they list the tariff as 2.5% if the
import is from a country with which we have Normal Trade Relations. The
charge is 25% otherwise. I didn't find a list of countries that we have
NTL with, but it must be there somewhere. The web site is
http://www.customs.ustreas.gov/index.htm. But I assume we must have NTL
with Holland.
If you put together a bulk order, I would be interested in being part of
the order. I also agree with Harry's post -- we should not have to pay the
17% VAT tax since the shocks are being exported. If you contact them again,
maybe you should make sure the measurement is center to center, and verify
that left/right can be different.
