By golly I think you've got it, Scott. You can have your cubes and compress them too.

Whew! Thanks, now I feel better - I get higher compression and I don't lose any cubes. Actually, I got it - It is just like shifting the same stroke a bit up the cylinder, stuffing the charge into a slightly smaller space.
