Well, George's answer makes some sense since:
8.5 compression gets 320 ci to 37.64
9 compression gets 320 ci to 35.55 a difference of about 2 ci.
Assume each piston is 4 inches in diameter. the area of each piston is pi*2**2 times 4 pistons = approximately 50 square inches. To get 2 cubic inches over 50 square inches would be 1/25 of an inch in height - .04 inches added to each piston height. Yep, my 320 becomes a 318 (I think - but then the compression ration would be the same as it was. Well, maybe not... You see, I am confused.
