I have a "scooped" air conditioning system from Bill Genevro at Air Flow
Systems (760-632-7010 or www.airflow-systems.com). The IV/ IVP kit is $6595 and
the Legacy kit is $5995. Charlie Kohler sold it to me and I installed it myself.
I agree with Jim Hergert that it is a must have item for a IVP as the radiant
heating through the windows is tremendous. I did not install the aft NACA
scoop and plenum in the tail and just rely on the a/c for ground and inflight
cooling.

The a/c on the ground is great. Charlie demo'ed it at St. Louis on a 98
degree August day and I was chilled by the time we got to the hold short line. I
have 140 hours on mine now and I can see passengers breath it is so cold in my
cabin on the ground.

The advantage of the scoop system is that it does not  affect the aft CG
tendancy of the IVP as much as the other system installed in the aft bay.

Consider a/c if you intend to get your significant other into the aircraft.
My wife insisted on it.
