To all who asked me about my wing tips and the availability of same at the recent Legacy fly-in, here is some info.

 

I apologize for not getting back sooner with this info, as I know several of you are anxious to do something about the factory tips, and many of you talked with me at Sun-n-Fun also.

 

The molds have to be reworked, and we are questioning whether it is a prudent thing to do because of the costs associated with tooling and reworking the molds. We thought that the one set we had made in addition to mine were good enough to use, but found they were not useable.

 

We had mentioned a price of around $425 for the tips and lenses, but simply cannot make the numbers work at that price, and fell badly that we might have kept some of you hanging in anticipation.  For that, I am truly sorry.

 

Steve tells me he can go ahead, but it will take 20 firm orders for tips and lenses at a price of $525.00 plus shipping to make the effort pencil out without a $$ loss.  I am leaving for Canada tomorrow, so if there are 20 of you out there interested in the wing tips email me and we will see if it can be done.

 

The alternative, of course is to make your own, or????
