As a passenger in an IO550 (300 hp) powered ES, I saw upon landing we hadn't enrichened the mixture. We touched down and on rollout the engine DIED!. Pushed the mixture in and turned the engine and she fired no problem. It sounds like to me one should run rich on landing. I guess I'm saying ... give me the power option ... I'd rather have a torque problem than a "quiet" problem. jim >>>If you are someone that can't handle stress and forgets easy, I would certainly agree. I guess it's all about level of comfort...for me its comfortable knowing that I have to push all three knobs in, and there is also a side benefit in these high power machines.<<<
