I think it is a nice homemade job for some type of indicator to show the exact pitch of the prop,
maybe to determine best prop pitch for fuel economy, etc. Much like a flap indicator.
Not sure, just a guess, but remember, these are experimentals which means free to experiment.

A friend of mine, Jim Rogers, is building a 360 from a kit he bought from an
estate. The items included a propeller governor with a rather odd
looking attachment. Can anyone identify what it is ?
