Jim,

Good points.  I'm thinking (hoping) Theilert's 625 lbs includes the
propeller, governor, turbochargers, etc.  TCM quotes 467 lbs for a dressed
IO-550N -- with 30 lbs for a supercharger add-on that's around 500 lbs.  Not
sure what all the propeller hardware adds to this...  surely not another 125
lbs...?

Maybe one of the engine mavens on the list can clarify some of this?  I'll
see if I can get more detail on what's included in the Centurion's weight
number.  

With the customer Legacy's coming in well over the spec empty weight of 1500
lbs, I don't think any of us can tolerate a heavier engine.
