I'm thinking (hoping) Theilert's 625 lbs includes the propeller, governor, turbochargers, etc. TCM quotes 467 lbs for a = dressed IO-550N -- with 30 lbs for a supercharger add-on that's around 500 lbs. = Not sure what all the propeller hardware adds to this... surely not = another 125 lbs...? Maybe one of the engine mavens on the list can clarify some of this? = I'll see if I can get more detail on what's included in the Centurion's = weight number. =20 With the customer Legacy's coming in well over the spec empty weight of = 1500 lbs, I don't think any of us can tolerate a heavier engine.
