for another (useless) data point, I always see 2740rpms
at takeoff (oil temp > 110) but within 2mins it creeps
down to 2700rpm.. most of the time I take a half turn
out.

Last thur, when I WANTED 2750rpm all I could get was 2670rpm
(oil temp = 214). Rick S also had a very hard time getting
over 2750rpm at Reno too.

my inexperience showed thur as the sx-300 driver that gained 15sec
on me came up after the race and said I took all the turns way too
wide. oh well, next year.
