The difference in speed between a Turbo Dakota and a Turbo Arrow is about 15 knots at cruise. Same airframe, same engine. That's even with Pipers best wheel pants. Considering that the speed/drag relationship is not a linear one, I would expect a much larger penalty at Legacy speeds. Has Lancair mentioned any performance numbers yet?
