This is a heads-up for L-IV builders who havent set their toe-in yet. It appears that changing the spacers to correct the toe-in can affect the alignment of the tires just enough to possibly touch the fuselege opening during gear retraction.
In my case, the opening were pretty narrow during the original retraction tests but I didnt think to repeat the retraction test after the spacers were cut to correct the toe-in. DUH!!! As it turned out, only the right wheel had a problem. Not enough to prevent retraction but enough for the tire to rub on the fuselege opening as it moved up into the gear well. Not a good situation.
