Also bear in mind that having an ATP doesn't automatically make one and

Or even a GA pilot.

It would be nice to "fly" (read manage the systems) those big jets - Let's see now....  I could call for a snack and cup of coffee when needed, get up and go to the bathroom when needed, have a dispatcher do my W&B, file the flight plan and get a weather briefing. Hmmm.... Also, the co-manager can take a leg, call out speeds and altitudes, talk to ATC, run the check lists, turn on auto land, program the A/P, and, unlike the engines, continue to whine after shutdown.

Come to think of it, I like GA. I can go IF I want, generally where and when I want, carry a gun in the cockpit, personally check the passenger for terrorist leanings, tell ATC "forgetaboutit, I'll go VFR", do my own push-back, carry hazardous materials (aerosol window polish) and keep my nail file.  I guess I can accomplish most all those tasks in the prior paragraph myself - that includes whining after shutdown. ;-)
