The problem is the location (per plans) of the gascolator so close to the lower right engine mount bolt and its associated weldment and protruding 4130 tube which interferes with the angle of one's wrist whilst trying to drain the gascolator. (WHEW, long sentence!) A 45 at the bottom still presents the same contortionist difficulties (at my age, and size of my hands and wrists, forget it!) because of the proximity of the engine mount and the shape of the cowling..plus the exhaust stack location. I am planning a 90 degree elbow and a stainless steel line heading over towards the inboard side of the exhaust stack, then bending the stainless another 90 degrees so that it heads straight down, terminated by a gascolator drain set in a bracket near the wheel well door attach area, then a hole in the bottom of the cowl..OR...perhaps continuing over into the wheel well so I don't have to cut a hole in my painted cowling. Nothing else we have explored seems workable. Just one of those difficulties that there will be someone smarter than I who figures out a better way to skin this cat. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Ron
