One solution to consider is using a gascolator with a "remote" drain release
coming out of the top and a flare nipple on the bottom. Run the drain
release cable in supports up to the oil access door, with a finger-ring for
actuation, and mount an aluminum drain line from the bottom of the
gascolator down to a clear path out of the lower cowling. Beats crawling
around in the dark trying to poke a probe up a hole...

You can still use the fuel sampler cup to capture what you drain, if your
arms are long enough...

Best,

Larry Graves

I'm exploring workable options, but if anyone has solved this challenge
using the location of the gascolator from the plans, I would like to know
what you did, please.
