OK, this is to announce that the 1st annual Lancair Suffolk Fly-in
(postponed from last October due to weather) will be held Saturday May 17th
at SFQ !!!
A couple of local "Eze" builders are also hosting an Eze fly-in there on May
17th and would like to team up with us (one is an ex-Navy jet jock, who just
got started down the wrong path!). They're expecting about 10 to 12 Eze's.
Suffolk has excellent facilities, nice terminal/restaurant and ramp that
will accommodate about 40 planes . Bill Harrelson and I will provide
breakfast (el-primo coffee, orange juice, bagels, egg McMuffins, etc, etc)
and there will be a cookout together with the Eze's.  There will be a 100 mile airrace. Rick Argente and Bill had planned one over
a trianguler course last October, however an Eze builder suggested racing to
First Flight airport at Kitty Hawk. If any want (or need) to stay overnight,
I can accommodate several at my home. RSVP if interested in attending. Now, for a problem I'm having with my Lancair....it seems that whenever I
push the throttle all the way in, the plane accelerates rapidly and the
airspeed indicator pegs! I then look in the rearview mirror and any other
planes grow rapidly smaller! A few hours later, I'm getting complaints from
people with shattered windows! Rick Argente...are you there?
