I can understand the seller's concerns. I can't believe Lancairs are selling under $80K unless they have no instruments or are 'untested' (low time). As we all know, it takes at least $100K to build one (san's labor). I'm not selling mine cheap either. As for the buyers, I would say IFR and alot of high performance time are minimums. Getting a sign off in a Lancair is unrealistic. Any well qualified pilot can transition. And as the seller said, selling to low time pilots (or Cessna pilots, ha) with cash, is asking for trouble.
