I'd call Charlie Becker (888-322-4636 x6530) at EAA as well as AOPA.
Charlie is good at figuring out who at EAA could best help out.

Maybe the airport just needs some education as to the quality of amateur
built aircraft.  A lot of people think of something other than a nice
Lancair when they think "homebuilt".
