When I got the gap to about .07 I applied a two-bid layer of light glass over to protect it. From there you can finish with a thin application of micro. I'm currently in the primer stage and discovering how great metal glaze is. The primer goes on thick and will fix a lot of small imperfections, pin holes and low spots, so don't worry about getting it too perfect. The primer I am using is DuPont URO-Prime and I love it! Metal glaze is the best thing I have found for a filler. (For minor filling). I have some pictures on my site that may help you with the foam and glass technique. It seems hard, but really, it saves a lot of time in the long run because you get the shape right the first time and quite easily. I hope this helps, Don Barnes Legacy #198 http://www.lancairlegacy.com/my_kit.html http://www.lancairlegacy.com/06_02_images/0602_LECO_foam.jpg http://www.lancairlegacy.com/06_02_images/0602_LECO_fix.jpg http://www.lancairlegacy.com/08_02_images/0802_elvtrgap_lrg.jpg
