I had posted this to the list several weeks ago and got no response but before I have to cut my plexiglass I wanted to give the list one more chance to reply....

Was just helping a friend doing some hotwire cutting of foam and wondered if a small hotwire saw could be used on the plexiglass to give a relatively sress relieved edge. I realize the wire may have to be hotter than that required to cut foam and that breathing protection may be nedded for the fumes (or just do the work outside).

Has anyone ever used a small hotwire knife on Plexiglass and what were the results? -Ed Sikora
