"clark baker" <cbaker9@nyc.rr.com>
A couple of times I have picked up ice that looked just exactly like Clark's photos. In the past, I had leading edge tape on the plane. I had always attributed that type of ice formation to the tape. All of the times that I picked up ice the plane slowed down about 30 kts. Since I removed the tape and put Teflon wax on the plane, I have not had any ice. I believe that not picking up the ice lately has had to do mostly with luck, some with paying attention and least of all with the leading edge tape.
I am trying a new e-mail program for the first time in 8 years. Let me know if the format is causing any problems.
