I purchased the battery 6 years ago and it's been flying in my plane for 1000 hours over the past 5 1/2 years. Still no sign of giving up the ghost... In my old Cherokee, I was lucky for the battery to last 2 years. Anybody else having such fabulous luck with their B&C battery? Should I be getting worried? I also have a Sky-Tec HT starter. It normally works fine, but on occasion when it's hot it sometimes fails to start. I'll get a high draw on the ammeter then the control CB pops. When that happens, it wont go until it's cooled off. Sometimes I resort to hosing off the engine to get it to cool sufficiently to get the starter to do it's thing... Anybody else have this experience with their starter?
