Jeff,

Polyester resins, which was used in marine applications ie sport fishing
boats and in the Glass Air aircraft with gel coat support a fire.  This is
my undersanding.  I recall that Lancair advertised that their flame tests
indicated that the materials used in the construction or our airframes do
not support a flame.  That is where I got my assumption.  Perhaps a call to
Neico aviation is needed for clarification.
This was one of many considerations which led me to go Lancair.
