How do I keep my speed brakes from freezing after
sitting in the rain?
I do have wing drains.
In WWII the Brits put tape over the gun ports of
Spitfires and Hurricanes to prevent the machine guns
from accumulating moisture when climbing through
clouds which would eventually freeze and jam the guns
at altitude. Seemd like an elegant solution to a
"sticky" problem. Perhaps a strip of masking tape over
the speed brakes would do the trick. May spoil the
looks but could solve the problem. Pat
