Bill Bartlett posted to the list last year with an empty weight of 918 lb for his 235 with full panel and leather interior. I am not sure which engine he is running but assuming a 235 engine. You add 40 lb additional for the 320 engine and injection and a net increase of 30 lbs to replace the fixed pitch propeller with constant speed and you are under 1000 lbs.(at least he would be) I may be dreaming but that is my target weight...empty with IO320 and mt 3 blade prop. A 2 place lancair under a thousand pounds with an IO320 and constant speed prop would be a very nice airplane. (if it is not ugly) Go ahead and laugh.
