Well, I am finally getting to the point in my project of thinking about which oil to use in my engine.

Dan Olsen

Most of the mechanics that I have talked to recommend fixed weight. that variable. Aeroshell 100+ has so many additives that it ought to be the best. I still add Toplube w/Graphite(AS&S pt# 08-05560, $12.95) to every oil change.

My engine has been torn down 3 times in 750 hours and was still had the best looking insides of any other engine at the engine shop. The exhaust valve guides were still within limits but were starting to wear. We changed them. My engine mechanic says that the valves wore because of running lean. I don't believe him and still run lean below 75% power.
