(emphasis mine). There is, to my recollection, no prohibition against the conduct of training flights within the flyoff period (presuming the presence of a qualified CFI and trainee). Charlie Kohler is evidently giving transition training in new L4's; I have seen Don Goetz conducting such training (right in front of the Portland FSDO too); I used to do the same thing when doing test flights and transition training in Glasair-3's, with occasional oversight from the Feds.
