Why is oil Dyne charging you anything? They installed the spool valve backwards didn't they? Seems they should just be glad that it didn't cause other problems and thank you very much for not wanting them to pay you for your diagnostic time. Am I missing something....or are your in agreement with me and were being sarcastic in your comments below?
just wondering.....

Oil Dyne tells me that I will be charged about 1 hour labor or under $100 for the whole repair. I am glad that Lancair picked them as a supplier.
My total repair bill will be over $1,200. I paid Lancair about $400 for all new seals, pressure gauges and pressure switches and a micro switch and main gear spring that broke while we were fixing the gear problem and shipping. I am very happy to have the Oil Dyne pump rebuilt and recalibrated for $100.
If the mechanic that installed the pump 4 years ago had found the problem now that could have been another story.
