I am so very happy to report my inspection for airworthiness went
extremly well Nov 14th.  I have a short squawk list to take care of.  Since
we weighed the machine before the inspection I must send copies of the
forward and aft loading along with a xerox copy of my registration to the
DAR.  He also wants the squawk list after the few items are corrected and
signed off.  I was not at all embarrased with my presentation.  Whew!  To
say the least my nerves were pretty ragged going into this.  Coming out the
back side with some praise and an airworthiness certificate makes it all
worthwhile!  Oh, the DAR was being inspected by the FAA during this
application.  Thank goodness the Fed was just great.
   N990Y is scheduled for first flight Dec 8th here in Tehachapi.  Orin
Ridell has agreed to have a look at the ship and maybe even fly it.
