I have not yet flight tested the dual design so I don't know how they will
work, but they worked much better in hand testing than my stock unit which
generated ~ 80lbs (this was one bad unit...) and hydraulically retracted
just as quickly in testing. The Volvo struts produce 75 lbs apiece and their
combined weight was the same as the stock unit. the reason I went with two
was to balance out the stroke and for added locking force (prop insurance)
though I would consider a 150 lb single strut as well. I got them from an
online Volvo parts supply house.
