When dealing with seals, the higher the pressure the quicker the gas or fluid will leak past the seals.   I believe the use of 2 gas
struts at a lower pressure (force) will make the struts last longer while
their combined force will be equal to or greater than the single strut.  There was a photo (one of the builders out there) of a setup on the LC20 where 2 struts were used on the nose gear.  The advantages were each strut had a lower force while their combined force was greater than the single strut.  I can't find the picture right now
but Marv may have a copy somewhere.  If not I can find the photo at home if anyone is interested. Thanks

[The dual strut setup you're referring to is Scott Dahlgren's.  I'll bet he has it pictured on his website... there's a link to it on the LML links page.
