Ed, can you be more specific about  "elsewhere in the manual" ?  I don't
think I have ever seen that in the manual except for page III -9 where they
say to reduce airspeed below 100 MPH for the Emergency gear extension.  Have
not seen anything in the manual about trying to determine the airspeed at
which your gear will or will not lock down.
