Hi Ron,
I thought I'd ordered a two inch long cam lock -- but Betty at RA-Lock left
me a message that they'd sent me a 1.5" lock. I'll have to check it at the
hangar tonight to verify it. Looking at the photo of the lock I'd say it is
1.5" long.
The lock/unlock positions we recommended in our posting should be different
than what I'd ordered for ours. We weren't sure just how to implement this
concept so I'd ordered two different locks -- one rotating 180 deg
counter-clockwise and one 90 deg counter-clockwise. I first thought we'd
have to rotate the cam counter-clockwise 180 degrees to get it out of the
way for opening -- but 90 degrees clockwise to unlock worked best. The main
thing we didn't like about the 180 degree rotation is that we wanted to be
able to look at the key hole and tell whether or not it was locked. The
clockwise/counterclockwise part selection doesn't really matter since you
can position the body to make it work either way. I'll send an LML message out tonight with any necessary updates to the cam
lock part number (1452 vs 1450).
Thanks,
Valin

[Re: Ron Brice..."Just called the company that Valin referred us to, and
found that the lock number he posted may not be the same lock he purchased.
The posted one is a 2" body, and the one he purchased may have been a 1 1/2
inch body....cam "clock" locked/unlocked position may also have been
different ." ]
