Rick, I installed the unit today and initially had one minor interference
problem.  The round part of the lower end fitting was rubbing against the
head of the lower nose gear cylinder attach bolt.  I fixed that problem by
adding another spacing  washer on the lower gas spring attach bolt, moving
the bottom of the unit further away from centerline.  You could also provide
the necessary clearance by filing a flat spot on that side of the end
fitting.

With 120# of force, the nose gear snaps quickly into locked position on
ground test.  Tomorrow, I will fly and try a free fall test at about 120
MPH.  I predict success.
