Gents,

I just bought a case of Challenger's certified equivalent to the
Champion 48110 oil filter.  They are $8.50 each and claim 25% greater
filtering area.  The Champion 48110 is $12.85.  George Orndorff of RV
building fame got me on to these.  

On the surface, this seems an example of cheaper, better, and certified.
I'm under the impression that the Champion Filter has not been changed
(improved) over the years due to certification hassles.

The part number is now CP48110 and they can be reached in Vandalia, OH @
