One thing I'm somewhat confused over however is the reference to "a Columbia 300 kit plane". If I'm not mistaken, the Columbia 300 is Lancair's new certificated aircraft, but not a "kit plane". Is this just the usual abominable crap we've come to expect from the media whenever they have anything to say about "little airplanes"? Was it a Columbia 300 or was it a kit?
