Bill Harrelson asked about what size oil cooler to buy.

Bill, depends on which engine yu're flying behind. I'm flying with
an O-235 (slightly pumped up with the Hi-comp pistons) and I'm doing
just fine with the smaller cooler, once I inscreased the SCAT diameter
to # inchces - it's fed from about a 3/5 inch NACA scoop.

My advice: Get the biggest one you can find room for. You can always
cut down on the air flow if you're over-cooling (can definitely
happen!) and your oil isn't getting hot enough to boil off the water
and/or combustion products that will get into your oil (why do you
think the green band on the oil temperature gauge doesn't extend all
the way to the left).

I don't mean to sound like a advertisement for A/C Spruce but since I
bought most of the miscellaneous stuff from them with no complaints,
here goes again. They also have a really neat oil cooler duct kit,
though I only needed half of it, nicely made and about $35.00. You
can also get some pre-bent or extruded aluminum bracket material
that should be just the ticket for firewall mounting of the cooler. The
pre-bent 0.063 part is made from 2024T3 Al while the extruded stuff
comes in two alloys and all different sizes.

Cheers,

Dan Schaefer
