Well guys maybe it's time we came to the support of Lancair. They had the
guts to get a plane certified - no small deed either in terms of cost or
complication. So far Lance has proven he can produce great kits at
affordable prices - we all seem to agree per our ownership. How easy to
take pot shots from the comfort of your computer chair. How many of us have
had to clear the hurdles of business start-ups without anywhere near the
amount of costs involved - never mind dealing with the FAA. Having owned
our own business for many years, we have a unique sympathy with Lancair. I
think the Lancair people are to be congratulated for sticking to their guns
and trying to provide general aviation with an excellent new airplane and
local people some jobs. It would be a lot cheaper if they just produced the
entire plane in the Philippines - to what good to the U.S. economy? At
least none of us has ever had to wonder where our balance of parts/factory
support/ resale value of our plane would come from (Glasair, etc. come to
mind). Claudette Colwell
