Having operated both recip and turbine engines in the commercial helicopter
business for over 30 years I can tell you from a realistic operating
standpoint based on 100,000's of fleet flight hours in many harsh
environments turbines offer more horsepower for less weight and are more
reliable.  Needless to say I will still put the recip engine in my ES when
the time comes.
