Phil, I have been flying mine for 110 hrs. and after I tried the LOP my CHT's all came in the good range. I just changed my baffles to cool the #2 and #5 CHT's more and it looks good. ( I will report on this later). I just came back from a 2 hr. flight at FL 250 and used LOP with TIT #2= 1630* to 1645* and using 17.3 GPH at 31.5 / 2400. On the Sierra Flight System engine page, it shows the temp. on each cylinder from Peak. I have a big spread from -100* to -20* and while it runs fine, it worries me, so now if I have the cooling under control I will buy the GAMI's to bring the spread to a much closer range. The LOP at this power setting is 17.2 to 17.4 GPH vs 21.5 to 22.2 GPH on the rich side AND the Belly is clean after landing.
(George, I'm taking donations at OSH). And disapointed that the PRISM will not race in the Polen this year.
