I did exactly that but with BID's bonded onto the lower cowling and pressed "green" onto the outlet side of the oil cooler. An airtight passage for the oil cooler outlet air is then provided through those vanes. My apologies for the unclear original description. Another responder noted the paint flaking/smudge on the engine mount. I'll check it again but I do watch for that pretty closely. I'll never win a prize for neatness but everything works fine.
