Marv,
There were a couple of builders wondering what to do about oil cooler
installation and where to route the cooling/exit air. These are a couple of
pictures of my arrangement that might provide an idea or two. In addition
to what is pictured, I bonded a three BID flange onto the bottom cowling
that form fits the exit air side of the oil cooler. With the BID's still
"green" they can be pressed onto the cooler to seal it up very nicely. The
cooling air comes via a three inch SCAT hose off the baffling behind the #3
cylinder. Again, I made a form fitting shroud over the oil cooler with
green BID's. I made a three inch diameter foam form with release tape to
get the right dimension to clamp on the SCAT hose.
