Jim Scales and Jack Hickman have offered advice that generally conforms to my thinking, but we'd appreciate any other comments/opinions. The Lancair-provided soundproof kit is HEAVY and for this single reason, we haven't yet installed it. We're at a critical time in construction to soundproof or pass it by. Hate to waste (more) money on something that will provide marginal benefit/return, but "it's now or never." We'd appreciate your comments, particularly from anyone that didn't install soundproofing initially and then added it after flying without--a before and after assessment if you will.
