Carsten is THE Legacy engineer and he built his airplane completely out of carbon while the rest of us only have a carbon skin with all other components made from glass (for some, the cowling is also glass). Of course everyone's spar caps are carbon but Carsten's spars and webs are completely made of carbon. BTW, Carsten is also using aluminum hinges, electrical consequences notwithstanding. Gary,

Assume nothing.  Carsten is THE Legacy engineer and he built his airplane completely out of carbon while the rest of us only have a carbon skin with all other components made from glass (for some, the cowling is also glass).  Of course everyone's spar caps are carbon but Carsten's spars and webs are completely made of carbon.   

BTW, Carsten is also using aluminum hinges, electrical consequences notwithstanding.
