<<  What do you all suggest as far as getting my rating from here.  I have
considered going to one of the week (or 2) long training courses down in
Florida to get my rating.  Any comments on this?  Any recommended places?>>

<<The instructor is Field Morey based at Morey Field (that's not a typo)
Middleton WI. It's a nine day trip from Middleton to Oregon, down the busy
coast and back with stops at Sedona, Telluride and the likes therof.

I did it in the winter, best time. As I recall there was near 20 hrs in
IMC, we handled heavy snow, some light ice and 3 or 4 approaches to 500ft
or lower ceilings, flew a leg with the static ports taped, did DME arcs and
even one ASR approach. The practical and first hand experience was
invaluable in my opinion.>>

I got my written for both my instrument and commercial through 3-day AOPA
schools.  It was excellent in both cases.  A friend did his instrument by
flying literally around the country with FIeld Morey as mentioned above -
don't know the cost.  There are always 2 students and they take turns
flying.  He thought it was great.
