Our plan is to mount above the elevator pushrod just aft of the tailcone access panel on the pilot's side. The only ferric stuff back there are some of the components of the hidden rudder assy... we're also concerned about interference from the COM antenna mounted in the v-stab, just 18" above that area. It has been suggested that RF wouldn't be an issue. Brent Regan wrote: The best place for the AHRS is on the forward face of the 208 bulkhead. Any other place runs the risk of magnetic interference. BTW the gear legs are magnetic and, when retracted, cause interference if the AHRS is mounted in the baggage compartment. The AHRSs are now sealed (they didn't used to be) and so mounting them in a non pressurized area is not an issue.
