Needing to make some decisions soon about cabin heat in Ted's IV-P project and am wondering if there's a concensus out there about whether it's required or not? I hear from some folks that the bleed air coming into the cockpit through the defroster area provides more than enough heat and that floor vents (and the associated plumbing) are unnecessary. What about the floor area in the back seat?.? when you're at the flight levels in the winter up north, that's got to be like an ice chest thanks to stratification. Comments?
The SFS installation instructions say that the AHRS box should be mounted within the pressure vessel on pressurized aircraft. So what happens if it's mounted outside the pressure vessel, like in the tail cone? Besides, given the small quarters and all the electrical stuff inside the cabin, how on earth could you mount one of those things inside the pressure vessel and not be subject to all sorts of interference? More comments?
